it is a translation.
there s one problem about translations is, rythm and tune exists in one language might not sound as good in another. this poem has a powerful emotion when reading in chinese, however, it does not have the same effect in english. |

To The Dearly Beloved
Death is no stranger to us Nor is it unknown But when it strikes It always cathces us by suprise And the beloved person is gone, forever How are we going to remember The ones we see no more Our minds and hearts Don't do good clinging on to the past] Whatever you do, whatever you try, it fades away slowly into the sands of time We WILL forget, no matter what The names deeds, actions will be made void And yet still, they live on For we have taken a part of them with us We take their spirit with us, which remembers, but it knows no time, place, or name They live on Without us knowing it We still live on for them And they will live, forever Memories won't do, it is what they instill in our hearts taht will count.
