Lilacor and Minsc aren't that similar, really. Lilacor is after violence, regardless of whomever wields it. Minsc uses violence only as a means of smashing Evil over the head, and making Good feel great. :D

What would have been fun is if Lilacor actually formed a friendship with some of the party characters. I could see some very curious conversations with Minsc, for instance. Regretably, there's no evil sword-wielding party NPC in the game until ToB.
