hey guys, I finally finished downloading the bgt (both mark 2 and mark 3)...yet, I'm not computer/technology savvy enough to get it installed...
the mark 2 route is simply way too complex for me :embarrassed: and the mark 3 single compressed file, seemingly easy installation doesn't work on my machine either...guess bgt's just not meant for my kind :-( [ 09-06-2003, 09:28 AM: Message edited by: teardropmina ] |
hang in there and try.
It's definitely worht it!! I dowloaded the original release and had no problem with that. But unfortunately I was not able to get patches 1.6-1.8 - works anyway ;) I guess you can't do anything about the Mark3 but I'm sure you can make markII work. Where exactly is your problem with the MarkII installation. From what I understand it's simply 1.)extract archive to BG2 main folder -> this creates a trilogy-src folder (I assume you could just extract it anywhere and then copy that folder into your bg2 folder) 2.)copy movies to trilogy-src folder 3.)run the installfiles ---3a)run installa.bat ---3b)run BGT Installer.exe (runs invisibly, so open up the Task Manager with -Ctrl+Alt+Del to look for running processes and only proceed once it has disappeared by itself) ---3c)run installb.bat 6.)copy music from trilogy-src to normal bg2\music folder 7.)Run that XPPatcher-tool 8.)Apply Patches. Well I've seen you around at the TeamBG forums and therefore I'm sure you've already read the posts concerning the MARKII installation there. They should have everything although they don't seem to be responding as fast as I'm used to from IWF. |
