A shattered mind,
thinking in tangents,
a spark into fire,
losing the thread,
lossed the plot,
can't concentrate,
Mind wonders,
no answers only questions,
inpersonal,
avoided,
no help,
words, meaning lost,
slience,
perhaps it is best.

Gabriel 03-11-2001 10:30 PM

Griever I only just noticed that it only two words per line.

oh <font size=36>WHERE IS EVERYONE ELSES POEMS!!!!!!! COME ON. <font size=1> Or I'm going to post again and again with crude verses.

Ladyzekke 03-11-2001 10:33 PM

the distraught heart
wanders
wanders into space
walking blindy
walking gently
waving for someone to see
waving for someone to help
wailing for someone to hear
wailing for someone to care
weaving itself for beauty
weaving itself so it pleases the eye
wandering still
waving still
wailing still
weaving still
wondering
where could have all the people gone?

there! now ya happy? you forced me to think! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

Good poem. How do you come up with them?

Griever 03-11-2001 10:50 PM

i wanted to try something new. i incorporated your writing style, you know, the two-three word punch? hehe...

as for coming up with them, i just think impromptu. i usually start with a phrase and work from there...

well, thats impromptu number three:the distraught heart. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

Griever, our styles aren't that different, mine are usally inspared by a word or thought and are normal written down first time in the post box.

Bahamut 03-12-2001 10:11 AM

yep! or how bout a thought? just think of one thing, and these emotions start to develop.. lots of 'em that you can formulate into poetry...

Standing alone,
in a crowd of friends,
Know to all,
Yet unknow at heart,
Being what they want,
But not me,
So long a copy,
I lost myself ,
I'm a pretender,
A fake,
A shadow of peers,
Yet alone I am,
What am I?
WHAT AM I?

(Hmmmmm....... Not the best I ever done, but probably the oddest.)

There was a young noble named Dick,
Who head was shaped like a prick,
When walking in town,
He tripped and when down,
On a lass named Nervese,
And got his head wedged in her crevasse.

Staring at the sky,
I dream of you,
Right now I feel fine,
Knowing that the same stars shine down apon you,
Seas and miles may be between us,
But when we stare at the same sky,
We are standing by each other side,
Under the gazes of Pavo and Lupus,
The shinnig light of Grus, Fornax and Equuleus,
I dream about walking beside Eridanus holding your hand,
Watchig the ticking of Horologium and the filght of Apus,
Placing Corona Borealis apon your brow,
and proclamming my love in font of Ara,
Oh how I look apon these stars,
dreaming of you, my love.

Okay, here goes my first poem to the General Discussions board. This is one from my latest story at the Wizards & Warriors Story Archive. Hope you like it.

When the Sun went down,
He stole the Moon away,
And falling, one by one,
the stars all left the sky,
Not so long ago,
Happily evers and afters entwined,
and breadcrumbs showed us the way,
out of the woods.

Come take my hand,
Better stay close to me,
Did you hear a sound?
Was it only the wind?
Not so long ago,
Happily evers and afters were one,
and candles on altars once led,
out of the woods.

How can we go on,
Knowing the fate we face,
and how can we find strength,
in that which we cannot erase?

Are we all alone?
Who'll tell our story, then?
Can we turn the page,
or is this the End?
Once upon a time,
Happily evers and afters held sway,
But sometimes the breadcrumbs meet birds,
and sometimes the candles meet winds,
And sometimes there's no easy way, out of the woods...

Beautiful, not quite sure I understand it but I only read it twice, oh and thank you.

Gabriel: if nothing else, read it as if it were a grown up "Hansel and Grethel"...two people lost in the woods, any woods, especially the forests of a difficult relationship.

Last Push

I have shattered before me
So many times I have lost count
I try to mend my broken self
I am giving my last push

My comrades have already deserted me
My shards have cut them
So many time that we have lost count
They ran out of blood to go on

My black blood has been purified
By the Pulse of Life
I gain strength once more... Finally
But my friends are recovering, cannot move on

It seems a little late
For this effort of mine
And I have wasted
their blood for naught.

thats toward on the happy side... a little.

i love that Haiku... it makes me wanna write love poems... teehee http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

What colour is the sky?
Between dawn and dusk,
When both night and day have fled away,
What colour is the sky to those that fly,
Or craw in the muck or dance in the dark,

What question is this?
So flimsy and dumb,
What colour the sky,
Why ask young one,

What colour is the sky?
To we who are blind,
Who watch our feet and never look up,
Or those that dwell under smog
What colour the sky,

It not, it’s a trick
Played by light on our minds,
Simple diffraction is all,
Or so science said,

What colour the sky,
If watch from above,
From the eye of a child,
Or when shared with one loved,
What colour is it for us,

I don't know,
I am not they
How should I know?
What visions they see,

Precisely.

Twighlight Zone

As the night pays a visit
for the next 12 hours
I await till she settles
and shows her family

I look upon the greeting sky
with astonishment and smile
For it makes me remember
who I love the most

The stars lift me
along with the wind that passes me by
They lift me
high enough to give me thought

And all I think is her...

Her lovely hair
Her comforting smile
Her smooth hands
Her innocent eyes

They astound me, as I feel the breeze

I want to share more
I want to be with her more
I want to hold her hand
I want to kiss her lips

I want to show how much I care...

I am not rich
Nor am I poor
But I want to show her
That the best things in life are always FREE

I long to share this moment with her...

As I gaze upon
those lovely little stars
I want to call her up
and share the serene moment
As I listen to her voice
Loving her
Forevermore...

this is a poem, (not written by me):

When Huang Yao Shi heard his daughter's death

god places fate on everyone, how hard it is for one to decide
or pass away with grey hair, or meet one's end when giving a birth
(I am) still not yet recovered from (my) first lose (#1), and a new one comes
it is like from dawn to sun set, it is like the water transforms into air
sigh, I cannot catch up with the dead, and how I feel lost!
the heaven is so high, yet there is no step (to reach)
the feeling is so painful, yet there is no one (to tell)

#1: "first lose" here means the death of his wife, "a new one" means the death of his daughter

Bahamut 05-01-2001 11:39 PM

whats with the parenthesis? "(I am)" blahblah "(my)" blahblah
