They put batter around the icecream which insulates it. Only fries for a little while. Very nice!

I can make fried ice cream! Got taught in the dim distant kitchen days. It's really quite easy.

Erm... no. You can't fry ice

You can get ais kacang, which roughly translates as "Red Bean Ice". Shaved ice, with red bean sauce. And other sauces.

It's very erm... beany! :D

Not a fan myself ;)

But that's probably what you mean, even if it isn't fried.

You can get fried rice. Which is delicious :D

Dont they use coke syrup to get the dried blood of unfortunate pedestrians off the road?

</font>
Yeah, I had ais kacang, I love Malaysian food, but this was completely different. I saw people out the front of 'Famous Amos' stores, I think, in Kuala Lumpur - with what looked like a big custom fry-pan and spatula with this brownish ice steaming away in it. I'm pretty sure it was advertised as 'fried ice' and I remember staring at it for a while trying to work it out.

I wish now I'd tried it. I meant to...

Callum 10-30-2006 08:42 PM

In that case, you got me... Never heard of it
