Garaeth- getting ready to leave Croshent.
Garaeth was up at the crack of dawn, and all set to leave, and he now only had to find out whether Eben would be accompanying him or not, he was quite sure of Eben being up by now, but wasn't sure if he wanted to kmake that slightly more noticable exit. |
(ooc: :D I'm excited! Word on the streets is theat they're going to ice over and school's gonna get cancelled! Judging how I was freezing my ass off this morning I'd wager they're right! And Cherokee's a big county!)
...Murdock... (ooc: :D OK, it's official, Murdock is worse than Maverick. Never thought that was physically possible, but you did it. I salute you Larry! ;) ) ~Her eyes widened at your last remark. A comical grin spread across her face.~ "Well now, that was subtle!" ~Her eyes averted bashfully, in the full moon's light you could see a bit of color come to her cheeks. She supported her chin with a hand and an index was precariously rubbing her upper lip.~ "If anything you'd be good comic relief." ~She looked up to the stars, lips pursed. Her eyes narrowed, she was in deep thought.~ "Mmmmmm..." ~The suspense was really starting to wear on you. She bit her lower lip and squinted up at the sky. She quickly turned back to you, pointing an accusing finger.~ "Now you have proved trustworthy." ~She battled with herself.~ "If not a bit greedy." ~She shrugged, walking a circle around you.~ "You saved me from death, and worse yet imprisonment." ~She winced.~ "But you've got that little stubborn streak and you might get in the way..." ~She halted in front of you, looking to the heavens again. She then cautiously turned to you for a final time. Her mind was made up.~ "All right Murdock, I've made my decision." ~She smirked, taking your hand in hers. Zahara looked you straight in the eye and shrugged.~ "You can tag along." ~She held up a finger and gave you a firm look.~ "There are two reasons why I choose this... Can you guess them?" ~She smiled softly.~ ...Mistral... ~Oriana shook her head comfortingly, her amethyst eyes soft and kind.~ "A misfortune this has not been little fey'ri, however uncertain this encounter has been." ~Hart nodded and spoke up.~ "A task we would not ask of a guest." ~He tried to keep his voice steady, but his face was faintly grim and troubled.~ "And apart there is truly nothing you or I could do." ~Oriana had a look of elvish sorrow on her face. She forced a weak smile.~ "Please, be welcome friends though our hospitality is not at its best." ~Silas jumped as if out of a trance.~ "I'd be happy to help Lady Oriana! Er..." ~He returned his gaze to his boots. Hart smiled softly.~ "Yes Silas, I am confident you could show them to the appropriate glade. Fearing we could not rebuild ought for Brier." ~He nodded his head to the three of you.~ "Go then friends and if your minds need counsel, seek us." ~Silas then motioned for the two of you to follow him as the trinity stepped back to the square. Brier sighed.~ "Silas, you go on ahead. I think I'll go pay a visit to mother." ~Silas nodded with a concerned countenance.~ "A-all right. But you howl if you need me." ~Brier then walked off and you were left with Silas. The elf smiled weakly at you.~ "Sorry, guest. Eerie's been having a lot of trouble as of late and we can't really offer a whole lot of citations." ~He shrugged.~ "Hope we don't seem distant to you. I imagine things have only gotten more lonesome since you got here." ~He gestured for you to follow as he bagan walking.~ "Come on then, Mistral." ...Daelinda... ~Cadell raised her pint high.~ "To coin and kobolds!" ~There was a mighty roar accepting her toast. Cadell took a swig and grinned at you.~ "Barrels o' fun already Daelinda!" ...Lerris... ~The waitress came back momentarily with your order.~ "Careful 'en, th' pop-tarts be scary hot." ~She lay a plate and mug on your table, then started quickly off to refill the drinks of some dwarves in the corner, all toasting and jeering.~ ...Garaeth... ~When you made it to the proper barrack, Eben was wide awake. He had apparently just finished eating and was sifting through some old books he'd borrowed. He looked up as you opened the door.~ "Hello there Garaeth! What brings you here so early?" |
OOC>>>Worse than Maverick??? I wasn't even trying!!!
IC>>>Murdock "Well, I suppose the first one would be that you realize that I can come in handy when needing a second set of hands, and that I can carry out orders to perfection. That certainly makes for a good tag-along. The other reason is that you would rather grant me the wish of being your accomplice than your sexual partner." So, two outta two right? Did I win the bunny? |
Mistral, Eerie
Her eyes flit back from following Brier's path, towards Silas. Sensing an equally powerful air exuding from his presence ~ He is as charismatic, if not more, than myself... ~ And feels a brief stab at the heart ~ Please, Ciretose protect me from his man. ~ Yet already her breathing has turned shallow as she drowns in the beauty of his eyes, his face, his... everything. With an involuntary soft moan, she shakes her head, seeking to purge the magnetism from her head ~ That dream... yet it was a human, was it not? ~ Cringing inwardly ~ Have I been left too long alone, except with an old man, that I go man-crazy each time I spy a male?! ~ Contemptuously rebuking herself silently. Glancing up, she nods hurriedly and follows his head. [ 02-05-2002: Message edited by: mistral4543 ]
|
ooc: Well all right, not QUITE as bad as a younger and wilder Maverick. Certainly worse than the more mature version. The younger Maverick though, ya-hike watch out. ;) If you REALLY wanna see your competition I should type up "Kids These Days". That was the epitome.
...Murdock... ~She crooned.~ "Awwwwww..." ~Letting one hand stroke your cheek.~ "Poor 'ickle Murdock. He dosen't have any self-esteem left does he?" ~She cocked her head to the side and looked into your eyes.~ "Hey now, if it makes you feel any better you were half wrong." ~She nodded to dispell any suspisions.~ "I did not pick you up because you're a good tag along." ~She chuckled, tipping your chin up with a finger.~ "In fact Mister Murdock..." ~She paused, a smug look on her face.~ "I might just like you." ~She nodded.~ "I got little butterflies in my tummy just now." |
Murdock
Murdock swallowed hard. How did she do that? One minute she appeared helpless and normal...the next, she was a viscious tiger! She had a way of turning the tide between victim and assailant that was incredible. Talent...this girl had! "Well...if you want...I could kiss those butterflies away! Just point to where I should begin." Was he pushing his luck trying to drive this situation? Did she enjoy being the dominant figure so much that his advances would prove to his ruin? And why did he talk to himself so much lately? |
...Mistral...
(ooc: ;) Who-hoa Mistral. You've got good taste there. Silas is a cute one.) ~In your ponderings you were found unwary and you trip over a root. Silas hissed and nimbly stepped backward to grab you before you fell on your face. He suceeded, however awkwardly. Now you had a perfect view of that face. The tousled chestnut hair, the charismatic features, the green eyes tainted with the softest slits of gray. He grinned awkwardly and set you back up on your feet.~ "Careful there ttekca!" ~That last word. You had no clue what that last word meant, but you certainly didn't mind it! (Ttekca was actually an exotic indigo flower that grew in the Eerie.) Silas then continued the march. His cheeks had the softest hint of crimson.~ "Ereh... Right then, back to it, shall we?" ...Murdock... ~Her green eyes were sparkling and shimmering. She tried to look defiant and keep a serious tone.~ "Zahara Rae'Lani is not easily tamed." ~One eye averted to your face and she cracked. She tried to stifle her laughter, but she could not hold back at least a small chuckle.~ "Besides, I am not sure I want to get rid of these butterflies! Such a wonderfully funny feeling! They tickle so!" ~She took a deep breath.~ "You'd be very hard pressed to beat these butterflies! They've got huge wings!" |
Murdock don't ask
