Six: why do you think Totemic is better than Avenger? I always just assumed that the Avenger was the better of the two. Let us know buddy

As for doing the totemic/whatever druid ==> fighter thing...

How long would it take me to level up to level 18 as a fighter in TOB? I would have thought that a substantial wait..... a really REALLY substantial wait. Would I even max out with my evil party of three? (myself, sorceror and Valen.. everything a boy could need and more MWAHAHAH)

Sorry to be annoying and bump this thread so soon... but I really need an answer so I can start playing my game!

I'd call Ranger/Clerics a "Warrior Priest," a Ranger, Druid and Cleric all packed into one tidy little multiclass.

I hold the Totemic Druid to be stronger than the Avenger for two reasons:
1) The Avenger's armor restrictions will prevent an Avenger->Fighter from wearing plate, and
2) The Avenger's main advantage--more forms to Shapeshift into--carries with it its own disadvantage: Most Shapeshift forms generally suck. When's the last time you won a high-level battle because you could turn into a Fire Salamander or Baby Wyvern? Shapeshift forms may be useful at really low levels, but become hopelessly obsolete very quickly. The Totemic Druid's Spirit Animals, however, are a great asset: Free summons that have lots of useful immunities, including the ability to render Duergar Proleteriats completely helpless? And the Totemic Druid has no drawbacks to speak of? Yeah, I'll take that.

A Fighter could probably get up to Level 18 just from the quest EXP ladled out during Watcher's Keep.

What's wrong with Darts?

Darts Of Wounding are powerful, damaging, and plentiful in the game. The rate of fire is very fast. And they are a one-handed missle weapon.

I usually have one character tossing darts, when they're not busy casting spells or something else. It's better than going into melee.

Fair enough, thats good enough for me :D

Although, it could be argued that the spells an Avenger are a fairly bloody good advantage. On the other hand, I just read your first point again. LOL. You win.

Is that doing it solo or is that possible to do with a party of three dividing up my oh-so-valuable XP?

Ok, next question then I suppose. Would the totemic druid kit abilities really outweigh the beserker fighter kit? I like the idea of immunity to everything and going psycho. But hey, thats just me. Convince me Six.... Pleeeeeeeeease.
