Screw all those philosopy majors that say no one is their so the sound does not exist. Sound waves have energy and a tree falling probably made enough sound to move some particles of dust so it made sound thank you and good night.

My answer to this would be: Only one so long as it has a destination (ie not a dead end)

See the Ask BK thread in GD for the answer to the second question.

Great, now Cloudy has Moni doing it, too?

Gargoyle, it's not how many roads, it's the reason behind the trip that makes the man.

Regarding roads: Depends on how old he is.

Regarding Trees: Glad you asked this one because I've always wanted to say this.... OF COURSE a tree makes a sound when it falls! What arrogance for humans to think that nothing exists if they aren't there to witness it! So what if no person is around to hear it.. it still makes noise! *sheesh*

Oh... uh.... did that come across a bit strongly? Oh I'm sorry. No offense intended.

Excellent! A philosophy question!
.
How many roads? Depends also where you start from. If life is a single road, is that enough?
.
Does it make a sound? Yes - physics rules here. However, the metaphor refers to doing a good deed when nobody is there to view it (burying a body you found, for instance)
.
Here's one for you:
What is the most driving force in a man?
Freud claimed sex
His neighbour claimed violence
I say mortality (short lifespans drive us)
.
What say you?
