I had that little red icon in the top corner of my screen for an available upgrade. I did the upgrade but I find it a bit slower now. Has anyone else noticed this?

I've not noticed any speed change at all in 1.0.1... but I've not heard of it slowing down before. Infact, some people at Mozillazine seem to be finding it faster. But realy neither makes much sense, since there aren't (as far as I know) any changes to the rendering engine... only some security fixes.

No speed change, but I noticed it starts up much slower. What's up with that? Every next version takes longer than the previous...

Unlike IE, Firefox does not boot up as your PC starts up. Giving the impression that IE starts up faster.

For its' pros and cons, I can wait a while for Firefox to start up.

What cons? Mostly minor, but would greatly enhance my browsing experience. Still waiting for the relevant extensions to come along.

nope, I have noticed no change with the new version, though I agree, not that it matters, it does start up a fair bit slower than usual.

Where are you looking for the extensions? u.m.o is currently about the worst place to look for them. If you haven't already, take a look at The Extensions Mirror.
