What sort of music are you guys into?.

I'm mostly into Dance/ House type music.
Have recently started to listen to what I used to listen to back in the eighties and early 90s, Thrash metal.

Downloaded some old albums I used to have, Megadeth, Death Angel, Slayer, Candlemass.
They all still Rock!. Particularly Death Angel, blew me away all over again!. I can't believe one of them was only 15 when they recorded "Voracious souls"

Am I right in saying I'm allowed to do this as I bought the original LPs in Vinyl format so I have the right to access the tunes I own, or did I make this up?.

My fave artist is still Jean Michel Jarre.

Recently I have been listening to much industrial though.

Ahh, Music. The love of my little life.

I'm into a hell of a lot. 50's Rock'n'Roll, 60's pop, country, rock, rock/pop, pop, grunge. Favourite artists - Shakira, Bon Jovi, Garth Brooks, Avril Lavigne, The Beatles, Queen, Brad Paisley, Terri Clark, Bruce Springsteen, Bryan Adams, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Nirvana, Stereophonics, and more, too many to mention.

Oh, and me - http://www.bmessenger.cjb.net -though I can't hold a candle to any of the above.

I'm going through a phase of listening to the radio a lot, but amidst my collection lurk mostly rock and/or dance/garage, though I can't stand BS (Blazin' Squad or Bull Sh*t) or Westlife. I like weird bands with no known definition, like Alishia's Attic and Catatonia

I quite liked Catatonia! Was a shame they split, although I suppose it preserved them from becoming staid (I always have to try to find a positive point in everything, isn't that irritating?) I thought Cerys had a great voice.

As for music I like - well quite a lot of stuff really, contrary to popular opinion

60s Ska, Rocksteady, 60s Soul, Motown, 60s RnB, Beat, Funk, Reggae, 2 tone, Jamaican RnB (60s), Classical, 70s Punk, some old Rock, some Britpop, Choral.

Musical dislikes: prog rock, 'hair' metal, nu metal, hip-hop, rap, modern boybands and girlie groups, modern so-called RnB, the stuff that calls itself punk these days, and any band that ruins a song I like by doing a bad cover (Atomic Kitten I am talking about you in particular here).
