I´m wondering if the download from the darkest day is safe....I´ve got a good game going and I´d be very upset if some download disrupted the game....but the download DOES look nice

Is that download an add on or add in?
I know that the original BG has a non-supported Mod, called Dark side of the Tales of the Sword coast...But the suggestion on playing it was to start a new game so that one could have the ultimate feel of all the changes that had been made.
I downloaded it, and the first thing the instructions read was to back up an original format game, in case something went wrong. The people that made this new BGII MOD would have tested it to make sure it is safe,,,but that does not mean it is bug proof. There could be a bug that crashes your game, but that is the chance you have to take. Me...I am going to wait for a while, to see how everyone else does with it, then load it after I see a large percentage of the users agreeing that it is indeed safe and efficient.

Also if I remember correctly, after you install DSotSC you can't use Gatekeeper anymore,as it may corrupt files.

I have downloaded DSotSC, and installed it but haven't played any because I was busy with ToB. Now that I've finished it, I'm working on Heart of Winter.

But I will get to it. I look forward to hearing people's experiences with it.

"The Martyr" (excerpt)

There is sobbing of the strong,
And a pall upon the land;
But the People in their weeping
Bare the iron hand:
Beware the People weeping
When they bare the iron hand.

--Herman Melville (written after the assasination of President Abraham Lincoln)

I suppose that you´re right Larry_OHF.
I´ll just wait and see what eerybody else writes about the game
So just to make this perfectly clear...We would be very interested in hearing from people with the darkest day installed.
Opinions
Bugs
etc.
Pleazzzzzz tell us about it

Some bugs on my game:
Quest from TDD don't appear in my journal
Can't choose alignment for Erinyes Tiefling, so kit doesn't work
Second level of new area, crashes my game
Kits don't abide by their description, max str 17, mine's over 18
I'll post more as they pop-up.

Other than those, the expansion is pretty nice. Tough new
monsters. Cool kits.
