barbarian is one of my favorite classes and i can assure you that they CAN use jesters chain+4. they cant wear plate armor, but can wear up to splintmail. however if the armor says only bards can use it, then only bards can use it. my barbarian had BladeSinger Chainmain+4, so i dont see why not.

Yes they can wear Jesters chain, It IS the 3rd best armour a barbarian can wear.... I stated this on another thread but Dundee qeustioned Black Dragon Scale and the Answer is that Jesters chain is AC of 0 and Black Dragon Scale is AC or 2(leather armour +5)
NEway it comes in 3rd after Bladesinger chain and the best Crimson Chain and there are more in ToB that r even better than that. |

Just a few minor pointers:
Jesters Chain is chain mail+4 and is hence AC1 Black Dragon Scale is also AC1 The best armour in SoA for a barbarian IMO is Crimson Chain +5 (AC0) - from Ribald's secret stash. |
