Waaaa! I hate the new load screen! Can anyone help?

I can't stand the new load screen that came with ToB (which I just got). I used to entertain my five year old with the game (summon and control creatures, etc.), but now I can't, unless I wanna scare him with the ugly skull. Please. Can anyone help me? Does anyone know of any way I could get my old load screen back (the one with the two faces)?

I hope it's OK that I posted this in two forums (ToB and this one)...

to answer the second question first, this should have been only posted on one forum. whether this one (as the most active) or the ToB one (as the specialist forum) is a matter for debate.

the first question is of course much harder. i presume youve gone looking for all image files and such already? in that case youll likely need ieep to edit it. since i have iee installed ill take a quick look now.

phew, not as quick as i thought, but i found it. the pictures you need to change are called "start", "startm" and "start25". the original start screen is called "startold". copy startold over start and startm to get rid of the skull, and then youll have to edit start25 to get rid of the skull, since this one is the screen where you choose ToB or SoA, and there isnt a picture you could conviniently copy over.

on to the how part - youll need some tools from Teambg. since i have only the explorer, i dont have the technical details, but the pictures are in the folder "graphics(MOS)", which is inside the games data files, hence inaccesible through windows. get the infinity engine editor, and find the files and edit them as above, and it should work. a lot of work though.

put your hands over his eyes. or just explain that it's only a picture, then grab your chest and pretend to faint.

Or you can take som paint and paint your screen with the old load screen.
