Hello to all!
So, I've heard about all the possible goodies awaiting in the chest near the wrecked spaceship in Bayjin. I also know that once you get a certain distance to the chest that the contents become fixed and reloading from that spot or closer won't do any good as far as getting different items. My question is this: Where does the Bayjin chest set itself at? Or to come from the other side, where is the closest I can save my game and reload to get different items? Obviously, if I have to save right before entering Bayjin proper, it's going to take a long time at each reload to get back to the chest. I'm coming from the Bayjin Shallows after having killed Nessie and the Buc Ghosts, etc. Anyone care to venture a guess? Thanks! |

Hello Schizoid!
The random seed is fixed as soon as you enter the area (see the loading screen). But then i wouldn't try to loot the chest near the spacecraft (which is level sensored, so you'd need to be at least lvl 31 to get, say, diamond eyes from it, but rather go for the single sentry hut, which isn't level sensored (anyone can get goodies), and does contain a nice sword (seldom). The quickest way to it would be the straight run to the empath, dispatch it. Then hide there until all the wandering red dots (x-ray imperative) moved off from north either to east (mostly) or west. Then it's just a quick dash to the hut with only one red dot, the single sentry, open the door, and greet the sentry. In case anyone notices you and joins the party, just squeeze past the sentry into the hut immediately, and everybody else should drop out again after two rounds or so. Open the chest, and cross your fingers/pray to a goddess of your choice. |

Are you sure about it scatter? If the level sensor is on it shouldn't drop at less then lvl 31 (after all, DE costs meager 32k gold). I haven't gotten anything out of that chest which i shouldn't get appropriate to my level, but i've heard from others too that the level sensor doesn't work all the time. Well, I haven't seen it fail yet, but i don't have a reason to doubt so many others. But in any case, i'd say the chances are really bad at lvl <31.

Maybe it's patch-related.
