Made it !

It was a kind of special and intersting combat with my party. I tried DraconFighters tip and gave the fighter and thief only bows without arrows. Works fine for me. But I forgot myself ( I usually play a gadgeteer with a good staff f.e. Staff of Doom ) . After my character was insane it seems he liked to hit all the other party members with pleasure . So suddenly some were paralyzed and later killed . Luckily I was able to throw three Canned Elementals before that happens. RFS-81 made more then half of the work because the rest of my party was either dead or insane or paralyzed and if they had clear moments I needed them to ressurrect dead members or to heal my party.
I was afraid that this android would be sometimes affected by the same spells but that never happens ( luck ). Because he had all the necessary speed attributes maxed and stealth was very high the Souleater almost didn't hit or damage him.
It seems to me that each thrown elemental is in a different group so if the souleater managed to immobilize one, the others were able to fight on. I tried the same trick that I used with Nessie ( brought the enemy between me and the elementals) . May be that helped too because my Monk were able to hit that guy two rounds from the back.
The whole combat I was afraid about turncoated elementals or party members but I had no problems with that. Seems to me that happens very rare ( also luck )

Now the final combat will begin ( next weekend )

Good for you Loudhy. I once did Souleater in with an extremely lucky first turn Instant Death. That was very easy.

My Favorite Souleater kill was I stompped up to melee range and RSF knocked him out with the first hit before Souleater cast anything, so my party just beat him into dust. (by far the easiest time I've killed SE)

(just my 2 cents..)

you ripper, loudhy!

regarding rfs not being affected, he does have a "natural" 100% resistance to mental. any bonuses on top can make him extremely difficult to hit with turncoat or insanity.

BUT some people have reported it happening (personally, i've never seen it )

so yes, a bit of luck, but the deck is stacked in rfs's favour to start with

Wow Scatter, I've reached AP only three times now . Never thought that there is a player with that many finished W8 games. Congratulations !

Thanxes. It just shows i'm too geeky to go out and buy any new software...I even went back into W-7 a few times to check out various import teams...Even though i know the game by rote (at least the ways i like to play it), i'm still not bored with the available differences in party development and weapons/tactics selections.
