Just seen the trailer and was a bit puzzled when I noticed Micheal Clark Duncan was playing Kingpin.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but the Kingpin that I remember was a Huge Fat white man, not a huge muscular Black man.

Whats happened????

LMAO!!!! too funny.

As for Kingpin, they are going to have to change a lot of things about the Comics of the 70's to make the movie palatable for todays discerning PC viewer. Daredevil the original Comic book had a lack of racial diversity I believe.

Kingpin wasn't fat. He was nothing but muscle. If you read many of the old DD comics you would know that he could take massive amounts of punishment and not be phased. He also was shown "relaxing" numerous times where he was benchpressing in excess of 500 lbs. Fight scences show him smashing through wooden doors, crates, etc. with one punch. If that is fat, then I want some. He couldn't have been too shabby because his wife was a fox.

Yeah, Kingpin was like a sumo wrestler. He was (is) all power.

my understanding for why Micheal Clark Duncan was cast because he's the only actor in hollywood today with the sheer size to do the part, and it works alot better than CGIing the kingpin just to get the man that big.

my recommendation is to see the movie, they take some liberties with the characters, but overall it's a very enjoyable movie.

The only other person that could play the role would be King Kong Bundy who is still wrestling a small wrestling circuit. I don't think his acting skills are as good Micheal Clark Duncan however.

What I find strange is that so many people are complaining that the movie is not being faithful to the comic books because "Kingpin is white". Kingpin was also about 6-6/7 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide, could lift up a 200 lb. man with one hand and be hit full speed with a baseball bat and not flinch. Since Kingpin is supposed to convey overpowering strength and presence; who better to play him than Michael Clark Duncan? Would Johnny Depp or Conan OBrien be better choices because they are white. For me the only choice would be Mr. Duncan.

Who cares what color the Kingpin is? Frankly, he could be Chinese or Japanese for all I care, as long as he does a good job of acting, and makes us believe that he is the Kingpin. Now, obviously some people I would be unhappy if they somehow would have gotten the part (Danny DeVito ) but as long as they act well, and present the character well, I don't care, and neither should you! I finally got to see the movie! Man! What a great movie...I liked it immensely.

Now, I have NO idea where the history of Electra comes in, or what will be happening in the next movie, (since she is apparently still alive), and all that. Also, what gives Bullseye his ability to hit anything the way he wants it? Does he have super-human powers, or just practiced alot? Any info on this story is much appreciated.

By the way...that part where Electra was beaing up those bags for practice had the best song for that part. I liked that song, "Wake me Up", because it had a major contrast of musical representation in it...the angelic, slow voice with the background heavy and fast rock...it really got my blood pumping!
