I loved the campy Saturday morning cartoon, and thought it would be cool to see the new TV version. I missed it because of Survivor, but last night Survivor was a highlight show, so I went looking for it in the 830 timeslot I've heard about, but couldn't find it.

Anyone seen it? Did it suck? Was it funny? I imagine it's one of those things you'd either love or hate, but the cartoon was so funny. I think they picked the perfect guy for the Tick. The actor who played "Puddy", Elaine's sometime boyfriend, on Seinfeld.

I'm a long-time fan of the cartoon and the comic book, which are both awesome, but I watched the first few episodes of the live action Tick and it didn't impress me.

I agree with you that they picked the right guy to play him. He really got some of Tick's mannerisms down solid, and he can pull off the lines. I guess I'm OK with their choice for Arthur, but the rest of the cast I don't like. They changed many of the superheros and they're just not as funny. In terms of the overall show, I won't be watching anymore. The writing is nowhere NEAR as clever as the cartoon and comic writing is, and the situations they get thrown into aren't as good as any from the cartoon. Sort of disappointing.
