Well I am working thru chapter 2 and have nearly everything done including all the henchmen quests except the one for Linu.. where can I find the jourmal I am looking for? I can't see to find it anywhere

You will find it on the first level of the troll caves on the east road.

Yes, it's tricky at times to see, depending on the angle of your camera. Basically keep tapping the TAB key to highlight the stuff on ground. The corpse with the journal was in one passage way, right over the corner. I once missed it too and had to later rumble through all these caves again, to finally find it. Pesky corner..
