That'd be 27, for you non-mathematical types... Google it

Finally, back on home ground and able to game... decided to get a little bit in tonight. When last we left our bumbling undershoots, they were getting ready to get jiggy with Skull Castle.

Alas, the wizard-types won't get the Mada Mabbig quest... although in reality, that may be a blessing in disguise! No need to hear Sabastio drone on and on and on...

Eljayess was really close to a new level, so they went looking for beasties and found 'em... in spades! They spotted a crab digging near the shore, and when they went over, saw a band of centaurs on the shore (all protected from battle, so perhaps they were some non-random encounter), and a couple of dartha eels swimming in the water. Now *THIS* will make for a battle...

And it does, with Eljayess casting Meteorstorm at the centaurs, who are a bit farther away while everyone else bangs away on the crab. The dartha eels, meanwhile, are just swimming around like they've had too much caffeine or something... I mean, it's like those electric eels plugged into some 220 when they were expecting 110

Eventually, they finish them all off. Among the loot, the party finds some plate boots +1 (for Gruhntella, who's one AC point behind Sniffles at 19), three sets of chain mail, and a dagger. And sure enough, that dagger turns out to be a wizard's blade... so much for traditional paraleep fighting!

The three sets of chain mail turn out to be +1 pro fire, +1 pro ice, and -2 cursed! I don't know if I've seen one of those before... kind of cool, but they sold it anyway. If anyone wants to buy one for a handicap game, I know where there is one now...

Eljayess has certainly levelled up, and she learns firestorm. Yay! Both wizards now have two storm spells... fire and meteor for Eljayess, and meteor and ice for Periwinkle.

Time to head to skull castle... nice and uneventful, walk in, look around... oh, look at that! A couple of hopeless shades... wow! They cast dementia... and look who's insane now! Fortunately, Flicker can cast exorcism... but only once, and there are two peasants down. At least she's got an exorcism scroll.... until they cast it again! Sheesh!

The peasants eventually finish them off, and half the party is now insane. Or at least more insane than usual. *sigh* Time to run back to town to stock up on exorcism scrolls... conveniently, it's 1500GP to heal the insane peasants, and 2500 for an exorcism scroll. Flicker now has 20 exorcism scrolls... hopefully, that will be enough.

They move on through the castle, hitting the dungeon area (more shades Whose brilliant idea was this?). Eljayess casts meteorstorm on the shade farthest away... cool, it goes down. Beats the heck out of hand to hand combat and more insanity... but let's bring the hand-to-hand for the last one. Okay, Flicker... Gruhntella... Eljayess... NNNOOOOO!!!!! RRRUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!

*sigh* Yep, did it again. Forgot about the currently active spell, and Eljayess just called down meteors on top of the last shade... and the party too!

When they run away, Lightfingers is toast... rebirth scroll, Flicker. Oh, look... a mummy priest... man, those are hard to kill when you're a peasant! What's that? Face of Death?

*thud* *sigh* Flicker... Gruhntella, please. 100 HP of damage just sure do wipe her out....

Eventually, the party slays enough beasties, most through hand-to-hand, and prepares to head for town so that Flicker and Periwinkle Eljayess can level up. Peri's Eljayess is getting really close to jumping to warlock... just a couple more skill points, and she's there. And Flicker's right behind

Stay tuned tomorrow for more activities

*edit* Late at night, they all start to look the same...

Gosh - I never thought one could avoid Sebastio droning on and on and on!!!

(why has the song Sounds of Silence popped into my head???)

A great blessing indeed!!!

(of course someone did figure out how to shorten that long speech if I recall correctly but that requires some monkeying around).

Super chapter!!!
