Hello,
I have a problem with items that are not removeable from the inventory. I tried clicking and it can't be removed, is this a bug? How can I get rid of the items? Is there a way I can get into a file and remove the items?? Also how do I create a multiplayer game with 2 or more characters that I've generated myself? Do I have to play on the internet to play a multiplayer game or can I be the only player? Basically I want to create a Mage/Thief and have this char team up with my fighter. When I'm in multiplayer mode I don't have any options telling me to START game or anything else that I get from the single player mode? Thank You, Mark |

Which items? There are a few that cannot be removed, but they shouldnt be in your inventory. In any case, applying the latest patch and baldurdash fixpack wouldn't hurt if you haven't done so already, those two in combination cure most problems with the game.
On the multiplayer game, host a TCP/IP game. Put a password on it so no-one else can join. Generate characters as needed. For various reasons, it is helpful to leave at least one slot free for a regular NPC, as the ones you create here will vanish on dismissal and you wont be able to do NPC quests without losing one. Anyway, start the game, then save it and quit out. Browse to your BG2 folder ("c:\program files\black isle\bgii - soa\" by default). You will find your save in the MPSAVE folder. Copy it to the SAVE folder. Now you should be able to load the game in single player mode, which is faster than MP, and you will keep your new NPCs. Unfortunately, said NPCs will exhibit no personality at all, so you might want to look into some of the mod NPCs if all you want is some variety, there should be one or two that meet your needs. I seem to recall that the ease-of-use mod changes the behaviour of the generated NPCs so that they stick around if you dismiss them, this could be helpful if you want to swap them around.

Oooooooooooooooooooooooh.
There's your problem. Some of the items were never meant to fall into your hands, only meant to be used on NPCs and monsters and the like. If you don't know what you're doing, I suggest you don't do CLUA in strange items. And you could get them out by using ShadowKeeper to delete the items... Do you have ShadowKeeper?
