i had just installed the bonus merchant patch a week or so ago but when i noticed it was gone i thought to download it again. when i try to open the file, it gives me some list of programs i can open it with but none of them seem to work. is it some sort of setting on my computer that's making this happen because it won't give me the option of extracting files either now. I'm also planning to install shadow keeper.

I don't quite understand. You have downloaded zip file, and you cannot decompress it? Or you can decompress it but cannot install it?

Are you sure it is a zip file? And are you sure you have WinZip installed? Check anyway.

If you downloaded from Baldurdash it has to be a ZIP file. These can normally be openede by WinXP or Win2k.
If you have no program connected to the *.zip extension (i.e. not opening the file on double-click but rather giving you a list to decide how to open)you can tinker with your Windows by reconfiguring
Tools->Folder Options->File Types
in Win Explorer.
If you just want a secure method to open ZIP files I would however suggest to do a Google search for WinZIP, WinRAR or WinACE (all shareware programs with a free trial period) and install one of them.

I personally use Power Archiver. its able to decompress all the major file formats, including zip, rar, ace etc... atleast i havent had any need for any other program, thus i can recommend it. its free too.
