Easy... just turn the difficulty all the way down when dealing with traps(otherwise prepare to get raped by the traps with Insane damage) then turn it back on once u finished.

The usual procedure; leap 20 feet up into the air and scatter myself over a wide area...

*slaps Tancred for watching too much Blackadder*
Most Soloists use cheese: They've already played the game enough times to have memorized where all the Traps are, and what they do when you step on them. - Wizards: Stoneskin and Mirror Image will solve almost all your difficulties, and Spell Immunity will solve the rest. Dundee once remarked on how odd it was that he felt perfectly at ease standing in the middle of a Cloudkill--he had no problems breathing at all, as long as there was a Mirror Image to take the damage for him. - Warriors: Take it like a man. What are you complaining about? You'll always make your Save, and you've got an inexhaustible supply of Healing Potions. (Or, at least, you'd better.) Suck it up. Besides, you can Mirror Image too, once per day. - Bards: See Wizards. - Monks: The majority of Traps can actually be avoided. If you can see where they are, you can walk around 'em. Also, you've got decent hitpoints, and good Saves, and the best Magic Resistance. And you, too, can Mirror Image. - Priests: They've got hitpoints, but no phenomenal Saves or Magic Resistance.....and no Mirror Image. Druids have Stoneskins, and Clerics have Find Traps. Jon:
O, i misunderstood you. i thought you were saying the i was wrong or somethig and summons cant set off enemys traps when i had just said that but anyway, ya, summoned creatures can set off enemy thief traps, but if your thief planted the trap, it wont hurt you though.

Let us summarize. You cannot do anything with the traps unless you are a thief (perhaps some dual class or multiclass). Lowering the game difficulty should be below your dignity. Knowledge about locations of the traps (it's not a cheese!) helps - but the traps are still here, you haven't disarmed them. Intentional triggering the traps isn't satisfactory - the traps should be disarmed, not triggered. Give up. Trigger the traps which you must trigger and bypass the traps which you can bypass. Open (trigger) only those trapped chests which contain something valuable and let the rest of trapped chests be.
