I'm at Chap 6, just about to go for Bodhi and her gang. Before I do so I am trying to decide whether to do Watcher's Keep now, or later in ToB.

So my question is: How soon after ToB starts will I get an opportunity to do Watcher's Keep. As I understand it, the first major area after the agme starts and exiting from your Abyssal place is Saradush.

No spoilers pls, just a gentle nudge in the right direction. Thx.

You'll be able to tackle Watcher's Keep quite early on in TOB - before things get too mad, certainly. As for when to do it, um... it'd be difficult if you're just clearing Chapter 6 - but not impossible.

Monster Spoilers:

Your main worries are:

**the Imprisoned One** you can leave that as it's the boss battle

one demi-lich (not needed to finish)
one red dragon (as above)
some lichs and burning sculls
Lots of Mirliths and Demons and beholders (very tough!!!)
Some high level humanoids
An Abyssal Knight and his Thiefling party
An Undead Party (tough!)
Lot's of Greater Elementals and some Golems

BUT THINK OF THE GOODIES!
...spoiler you can even upgrade all your stats and the XP is HUGE though gold is minimal

Thanks. I think I'll skip Watcher's Keep for now, and try & finish SoA first.

This isn't really a spoiler - ok it kind of is a spoiler...

You don't have to enter the dangerous Dungeon of Watchers Keep to benefit from the place. You can visit the area, and meet a merchant there, who may have just what you've been looking for by way of equipment.
Also, if you have a good sneaky party, you can do a raid at the first level, and get a load of useful thingies, without too much risks.

I did it when I was in Amrekthan(sp?) and at quite high level with a multi player and I still found it quite tough. I'd do the first level asap-may be able to do it during SoA but definitely leave the rest until you are level 22/23 at least.

I'm led to believe that the Keep difficulty varies with the party's average level of experience. I did the Keep at the beginning of ToB and found it to be quite challenging. I think that my party started out at around 16th/17th"ish" level when starting the Keep. I'd wait a while if I were you...

I say go ahead and do it. I'm about to kill Bohdi, but decided to go ahead and finish the keep. I'm not having to much trouble, but i do have two PC's in my party. They're doing most of the dirty work...

If you do WK in BG2, then import your party into ToB then you can do WK again! Easy way to hit the Exp cap

I'm curious...I know if you kill one of the NPCs in BGII, you can't use 'em in ToB. Has anyone done WK in both parts?
