Just throwing it out there.

True, but this, while not work related, isn't the same as surfing porn. Sort of a universal truism, is don't do it at work. Period.

KDog has the right of it. I personally don't do it, period. But be that as it may, the workplace is a stupid place for anyone to assume that they can get away with downloading porn. It is not tolerated in any office that I know of. We've had students on campus be arrested for downloading and sending child pornography and several employees on campus have been fired and had charges filed against them for the same thing that the guy in LR's office did. So he's lucky not to get his a$$ kicked out.

And what he said about your internet use is fair...you may do board type things, but I'm betting you aren't saving pornographic pics on that work computer. Er, 'artisitic' sig pic notwithstanding

Well, *jumps in the air, landing with a noisy *POOF* into his leatherbacked chair at the main table. Kicks his feet up onto the table crossing his legs and pulls a cigarette from inside his tunic. Pausing for a moment, a single bluish green flame jets from his finger to his cigarette, sparking it to life. Inhaling, he feels the bite in his lungs and smiles. Exhaling slowly, he looks at no one in particular*

I think the issue is dead and we should move onto more frivolous things, like the outstanding color of LadyRae's blouse this day!!! Barkeep! A meand for me, and a sparklebeer for the lady!!!

Sounds like the kid wasn't thinking, just doing. I work for an agency that is the original 'big brother'. They are so paranoid about the inappropriate stuff and determined that none of us use our computers for ANYthing but work related stuff!

Now get this, I am a 'stand-alone' station, the only one from that agency in my building. The state office often forgets I exist, yet when they gave me my new Dell last summer, they removed all possibility that I can use any email software other than theirs (groupwise SUX ). I can't even access my hotmail account from work - I get an "IE has performed an illegal function" msg and it closes. Plus they've removed the sound card so there is no way I can use it to listen to cds!

I hate the I.T. department.

Stumbles in after an early day. Noticing that everyone else is off on other matters, he heads straight for the bar depositing a bag of coin for LofA, or Black Knight. Making his way over to the urn, he pours himself a hot steaming mug before heading over to his corner table.
