I have been running into bayjin to the chest, opening it and reloading ( I understand its called mephistoing, but I dont know why ).

Well I just got *Light Sword* and then I scrolled down and saw *Light* *shield* and I was like "OMG!!HELL YES %$##@Q!!".

I am sorry, I just had to post. I wonder what the chances of that are.

One in a million? One in ten million? Never seen that happen before. Count yourself very, very lucky, Tiny. Many go through the game and never see either of those. Congrats!

Never seen either of them. In about 15-20 plays through the game.

Thats pretty amazing. I seriously hope you have a sword/shield wielder in your party!

Congrats on the great finds, TinyMage!

Just as an FYI, "Mephistoing" is a reference to the PC game Diablo 2 (D2). In D2, players start new games for the sole purpose of killing specific monsters who are known to drop high-end items. Mephisto was one of those monsters and he was located in an area that was very easily accessible by the right characters, so players would target him...hence "Mesphistoing"

If I recall correctly, Mephisto also was the name of the mage in the party on the back cover of the Wizardry 1 box.

You can always get the *shield* from the Higardi prisoner in Bayjin. After she dies, keep reloading until it appears in the bag. This can take many reloads so patience helps here.
