Yes, after another gruelling year at school, pupils are now given a 7 week holiday! Usually, it is 6 weeks but for some reason it is 7 this time.

So run around and frolick in the fields, young ones! Be free!!!

Well, for me it's 7 weeks of hardcore gaming - pure, 100% gaming...

*Sigh* The longer the holiday is, the harder it is to go back. I'll be in year 10.

So what's everyone doing for their holidays?

Hmmm. When I saw the title, I was SURE this was going to be an off-colour joke...

Have your fun, J, and don't you dare count the weeks; that takes all the enjoyment out of summer.

As for me, I haven't had much of a holiday this year. One week between the end of exams and the start of my summer job was just enough to catch up on my sleep. But, working here is kind of like a holiday. I sit in an air-conditioned office, cycle to and from work, and 40 hrs/week is a LOT less than I was putting in during the school year. Best of all, my evenings are my own. Occasionally it also gets slack at work, so I can post during work hours.

Eeeerm.....drink beer ?
As you do that all the time, it hardly seems necessary to say that you'll do it on your holidays. Now if you said, "drink water", I would be shocked and horrified.

I'm drinking too much & going out with old friends -- and remembering all over again why they're "old friends" and not just "friends"

So? Kids in the US, depending on which part. Can have as long as 3 months in the summer.

My kids have only 2 weeks and one day down here. The big holiday is taken over Christmas.
