Need donations this Month guys.. ugh. (2 days left)
Did well the past few, but I need help for this Months bill. Hate asking, but I need your help.
Thanks! BTW, I'm making some more icons and more rank avatars for the forum, and I'm going to merge some forums soon. I'm thinking of removing the ban on Religious discussion. What do you think? Good idea?

Re - religious discussions.
No, IMO. While I have some strong views on religion myself, I know tons here who do too. I recall seeing long, drawn-out arguments and bitterness between people here that would result in alot of hostility and bad blood, usually with one of them leaving the forums (The reason there is a ban). In theory it sounds great but you know, in practice is another story. Religion and spiritual beliefs are very personal to people, and as a result don't really *need* to be discussed unless you have something to prove (which never results in something good cuz usually someone else has something to prove too). I say keep that one in it's cage.

A "religion" forum wouldn't work because people who get mad at each other in there can't just leave their feelings in that forum.

A well moderated discussion on religion can work, despite popular belief.. I've seen it myself and on a place where the average age is somewhere around 17. It takes a lot of effort from the mod crew though and may be too much effort to make work here.
Folks there are allowed to get passionate and the debate can get heated, but the general rule of thumb is you've crossed the line when you stop discussing the issue and start discussing the people. That's when a mod jumps in and gives the thread a nudge back on course. |

Keep the ban, I've never had a religious discussion that ended on a good note. But I can remember more than a handful that ended on a sour one.
You knew that, so you put the ban in the first place. Second guessing never gets anyone anywhere
