I thank thee, Master...I am forever in your debt

I suppose that's the question that I should have asked from the start...if, when dual classing, your first class' total exp is subtracted from the 8 mil. maximum, and the result is what the second can obtain...silly me

Oh, and another question (hah, you can't direct me to a site now!): Would taking Staff proficiency be viable for this character? The SotM is very nice, and the SotR is very good for melee, but is taking this proficiency a wise choice?

I personaly dual wield F/M's beacuse you get more special abilities from weapons. LIke 25 STR, ability to stun, slow, ...

But yes, changing from SotM and SotR is very effective. I think is just your personal style of play.

Hmm, when you get SotR, you don't need to hide anymore. You are invincible.

I don't like Crom Faeyr, though.

What about two-handed swords?

A cool one if you are evil (in SOA).
Also if you feel lucky (25%) after the Underdark.

Very good one in TOB but probably for 3 or 4 major fights.

No, I don't think so. I would say go for dual-wielding. Overall, using, say, a choice Axe and a choice Hammer (you know what I'm talking about, Pyrenk ) would be better. The aforementioned staffs are good, but I love dual-wielding, and the Staff o' Cheese wouldn't be good for a melee character: not enough damage. Go for my fav combo, the Axe and Hammer, and buff yourself well. Quite honestly, you would have to try hard to not make a fighter/mage ridiculously powerful at high level.

But I don't like the Crom Faeyr...

Hm, the Unyeilding and the SSoM or the Spectral Brand have potential...the first, because a stationary target is good for mages, and the second, because it's a mini-Mordenkainen's

Go for the second one...I love the Axe, can't get enough of it. Lots of fun, great effects, sweet for dual-wielding.
