I've been BBS'ing since 1990, and I never ran across IIRC before. It simply didn't occur to me that it would be listed as a "common" acronym. Still, I reckon every drop of wasted bandwidth is another drop from the heart... -- Mal

Those acronyms are just to make things easier for us to type out our posts, especially when we have to type out a lot, and seriously, typing out "Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wilting" over and over again is a nightmare.
 As a personal rule of conduct though, I tend to type out in full the first time I use a long phrase/name, then proceed to use the acronym. Quote:
