In short I have a bet with an English workmate that the mighty Matt (the Bat)Hayden will average greater than 51 runs for the coming Ashes tour. For some reason, this guy would not at all accept a wager at an average of 50, yet felt instantly secure at an average of 51 - go figure .

Oh, no! Davros! I can't believe you did that!!!
What were you thinking? You're wrong, chemist dude, you're wrong! Actually, I have no idea what you are talking about, but it's fun hassling you. Now where did I put that duct tape? Lil, you there? |

Oh how could you call me a Chemist - oh the insult, I am mortified . The letters behind my name are B.E.(Chem) - not B.Sc . Haven't talked to Lil for at least a month now - great to hear from my old W&W Blueboard pals. How's that gorgeous lil beauty Sarah Jane - is she starting to get into mischief yet

Hi Sultan...
Okay, engineer then. I write Lil at least once a week, if not more often, but with a baby in the house, I'm lucky if I get online more than twice a week sometimes. As it was, I had trouble getting back to you as my darling Sarah started howling and I had to go feed her. She's doing well, about 5 teeth in now, but the teething makes her whine (I don't handle it well). Can walk with hands held, but not really standing alone yet. And she's learned to say "kitty". And yes, she gets into mischief. Only two hours ago she was in the kitchen splashing her hands with glee in the cats' water bowls. An enormous puddle and a sopping-wet baby resulted, as well as a change of clothing. She had fun, though! Smooches! AliCat |

One stipulation though when I do make it back - Lil must not be holding any of that duct tape - she's far too handy with that stuff.

I was kinda hoping that Donut might take up the challenge as well - we could have the "swallow something nasty" bet. If Matt doesn't make the target, I would swallow a can of FOSTERS, and if Matt beats it, then it is the SURSTROMMING for Donut.

Care to take a wager on whether or not England will stretch each Test past three days? No takers? Didn't think so.
