Chelsea is owned by Abramovich right? I forget...
That's okay, FC Amsterdam and AFC Ajax are two completely different clubs, or better... they were. And Ajax may not be a very wealthy club, but they are richer than most other clubs in their own way. They have a very rich history of bringing forth extremely talented players. That's why you see managers and scouts from all over Europe attending at Ajax's matches, like hungry vultures.

I thought chelsea is suppose to be the richest club now. since they can have money to buy anyone they want for a over inflated price.

@johnny: thanks for the clarification man

@kakero: Chelsea got its debts erased. And yes they can sign all the great players they want, but it's not only those factors they base the price or wealthiness of a club. They have other sources of incomes and revenues, like the stadium they play on, the sale of other players, products, etc.

Well, if you count where chelsea got all those fundings from, you can say chelsea is the richest club in the world.

Wouldn't Bill Gates be interrested in football ? Microsoft would definitely be an interresting shirtsponsor.
