That would have been my vote. I had no CLUE what I was doing... and if I remember correctly I ran. Far away. Actually I used an extensive and complex system of invisibilty, haste, party movement, and slayer changes to sneak my entire party PAST him. Twice. Now I can't remember how to kill the things... its been too long.

Ha! That was funny! You have a good humor, there friend!
OK...
I will confess, I cheated my way past the guy.
(I hacked up an Imprisonment Scroll on his tail).

IMHO, the toughest enemy is a Illithid.

Dragons get slautered after a few shots of finbger of death(reloading of course)
Liches can be killed with Cloak Of Mirroring
Demi-Liches can die by the hands of a berserker.

(in silent voice) If an illithid could be my friend! (smiles evilly)

Kangaxx or any damn liche. God, I hate the damn things. I spent more time on reloads during fights with them than anything else in the whole damn game!
I may skip the whole Kangaxx thing when I do the game again! HATE IT! HATE IT!

The Silver Dragon. Definitely. I didn't lose anybody, but it took the most reloads and trying various tactics before she fell, and it was probably the longest battle I fought. I used the tactics of Magic Resist, Lower Resist, Death Fog, Cloudkill, retreat, until I ran out of those type of spells. Then, just when I thought I had her...she cast Heal on herself. The unconscoiusness and panic were irritating as well. After the Heal, it was just a standard brawl...Hasted fighters, Magic Missile and Lightning Bolt Spells and a Sanctuaried Cleric to Heal people. Very tough, with little reward.

Drizzt and his party were easier, but still no great reward. The slayer had a large part in taking him out.

I'm still waiting for someone to remind me how to kill them adamantim golem... all these great plans on the OTHER tough enemies. I think the only weapon I had that could hurt them my last time through was the Cavaliers Holy Avenger! which I won't have this time... plan B?

I thought +3 or above weapon will hurt it....e.g. Lilarcor, Flame Tongue, Sling of Everard... etc.

I think Liacor works. But if you have no double handed
weapons use Celestial fury. If you are lucky the golem will
be stunned and you are free to carry on causing 2 damage
a turn. Make sure your person has haste on him.
