(More) Spam that hurts...

I have a number of different email addresses.

My hotmail address is a true spambait address. I don't use that for anything I care about. It's set to max spam detect, and every couple of weeks I go in and clean it out. Only once had real mail in there -- and that's 'cause a cousin of mine inadvertently gave out the wrong address, and I got some of hers.

My yahoo address is my "real" address. I do most of my on-line stuff there, and have the spam detect set to high. I should set it to max; I think in a year and a half, I've saved two emails from the spam bucket.

I've got a home ISP email, which I use rarely. I check it to make sure of what's going on, but they want to charge me even more for internet access to the emailbox. No thank you...

And finally, my work address, which I use for work-related stuff only. Hard to keep that clean, but I try.

There are a couple of lesser-used ones, but they're really retired, for all intents and purposes.

The point that I was making on the original thread and I think mojo is making as well, is that unlike a normal add, however gross, this type of message could easily be misinterpreted by someone not so used to the internet. And in my case it was by my poor wife.

It is a vile and antagonistic form of advertising. Why not just say "hi I’m Anna wanna see me naked"[/QUOTE]Exactly. What is the point of this form of spam? Is it just in case it comes across someone with memory problems? Or is it designed to try and get between people (like Wellard and his wife), so that they split up and the poor victim is forced to resort to porn?

Yeah... I have two hotmail addresses... one which I check every month or so to keep it active... with full spam catching on... this one I use if I ever need to enter an e-mail... (such as this site... so don't e-mail me...) the other is my real address and will not on any account be entered anywhere on the web... and it is not listed in the hotmail member directory... that way nobody can send me spam... except my friends...
