If you want to try intense surgery, you can *remove* your firefox settings. Navigate to...

C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

and you'll find your FF configuration. You can move or rename the folder (or delete it, if you're really, really brave) and all your settings will be gone. Try starting FF then, and it just *may* act like a brand-new installation.

Then again, it might not...

remember to save your bookmarks first. i always go ballistic when i forget to save them.

default location:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile
copy "bookmarks.html" and save it on your desktop.

i always forget to do that and kick myself afterwards.
