Classs choice

I'm creating a new character and I don't know which dual class human I want to be. I was thinking of a mage/fighter or a thief/fighter. What do you guys think?

Try to duel FROM a fighter (or fighter kit), that way you get the adventage of high hitpoints (assuming 18 CON), more weapon proficiency points, more fine tuned in the second class (since you don't need to be a master of ALL weapons, just choose them wisely in the beginning), better THAC0 when duel class is completed. But remember, kensai CANNOT use range weapon (but he/she deals the most damage from a sword), berserker CANNOT be proficient in range weapon (but he/she is a demi-lich killer), wizard slayer (......well....he/she cannot use ANY magical items except armor and weapon....potion is part of the "I'm sorry, but I cannot use" list). Duel to thief if you want powerful backstabs, sneaking around, and doing the thiefing stuff. Duel to mage if you want to wield both might and magic.

Yeah, good advise Accord.
I'm leaning towards blunt weapons these days,and like to use a big shield also so i can handle any surprise golem ambushes and mash anything in sight.The swords are cool but i've used them all before.Barbarians,Clerics,and Druids are my fave classes now. And 'Hammer of Thunderbolts','Flail of Ages''Lady Ashideena''Staff of the Magi',and all the other great Flat ended weapons my faves now.
When Dualing from a fighter just make sure youve got grand mastery in an appropriate weapon.
