I have a human berserker that I dual classed to a cleric at level 7(i realized I should have done it at 9 but thats besides the point) my cleric spells were going up fine until I got to level 8 in my cleric class. This reenabled my berserker abilities etc, but my cleric spell icon is disabled now no matter what I do so I cant use cleric skills. I unequipped everything to see if maybe an item i had was doing something, but nothing! please help, thanks.

I have the similar problem with my berserker who dualed into a mage initially, which I was unable to cast any spells from the spell icon. Try downloading the latest patch for BG2, and under "game (or program....or.....just read the readme file attached) option", set a new line "Disable sound = 0 (or something like that....again, see the readme file)", don't set this flag to 1, or else you will have no sound during the game. Try that and see if it helps.
