what use is the "closet" behind the door in the room with tolgerias?

Hmm...that's strange. Is this after you've beat Tolgerias and talked to Tios? Get a Knock spell on it.

As for the storage, I suggest you use the table on the central room on the first floor because it's more accessible than the B1 floor (or saves load and waiting time).
