Okey dokey...to continue what I was saying Vaskez...
Yeah, I've got Rip The Jacker, it's incredible. That guy's lyrical dexterity is really impressive. But my favourite rapper now (displacing my former longtime favourite DMX) is Juvenile. Seriously, check out his debut album "400 degrees" or his "Greatest Hits" album (the 4th album he put out...he's THAT good). [Big Grin] His other two, Juve Da Great and...the other I can't remember are still good, but nowhere near as good as the other two (he was under pressure from his old label to finish those two apparently). Anywho, Juvenile's greatest hits album is one of the four albums I would give 10 out of 10 to, it's that good seriously, I can't emphasise that enough. [Big Grin] BTW-I heard Street Desciple was an impressive return to form from Nas, did I hear right? |

Ah poor Jorath - and he got so pissed off he deleted it. [Frown] [Big Grin]
Anyway, to finish what I was saying... Actually hmm I dont't think Street's Disciple is that amazing, I'd give it say 7.5 out of 10. What would have made it 9 out of 10 was if it was only 1 CD, but they've got too much filler, sure, some excellent tracks, but a few VERY poppy songs involving too much singing. If you can pick it up cheap it IS worth getting for the good songs on there like I said, around 1 CD's worth of them. Another thing: I don't think Nas NEEDED a RETURN to form: I love God's Son, it's a great album. And before that was Stillmatic, also a great album! Ok then I'll have to check out Juvenile's greatest hits too [Big Grin] Hmm, do you have the Twista - Kamikaze album? I wouldn't say the whole album is great, but there are some AMAZING tracks no there! Kill Us All will blow your brains with the aggresion and speed, Hope is just a really really nice positive song. One Last Time is cool. Check it out.

Twista's Kamikaze is a great album, a really good listen. I like how the initial angry, aggressive tone of the album turns into a party/dancing style sound, and then towards the end it chills out a lot with Sunshine and Hope. And the last trach, Chi-Rock something is incredible, a really good final track. Have you heard Luda's latest album, what'd you think of it? I thought it wasn't too good personally. |

Nah, I'm not much of a dirty south fan. Some of Twista's old tracks are worth a listen: Victory or Death notably.
I can't believe that you're not much of a Nas fan though! That guy is an amazing lyricist. Check these songs out: http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/nas/i...memory.nas.txt http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/nas/n...d_love.nas.txt http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/nas/i...s_like.nas.txt http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/nas/n..._words.nas.txt http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/nas/g...heaven.nas.txt just ignore the hooks

Illmatic, one of my four 10 out of 10 albums.
I haven't heard the rest, but the lyrics do seem good yes. God love, and Heaven in particular. I'll give them a look then, my friend's a big fan. Nastradamus, and God's Son right? |

All the album info's there, but yes. Nas is the best all-rounder (except for voice) I think.

On the Internet, only hip hop, metal and eletronica exist.

Not all hip-hop is good (a lot of crap R&B out there), it's gotta be rap
Sigmar - Do you know the Gang Starr - Moment of Truth album? It kicks ass! In case you don't here's the title song, definitely check the lyrics especially the second verse! http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/gngst...moment.gsr.txt I'm the articulator with the flavour that you love to savour and the greater rhyme creator on both sides of the equator - I made that up from bits of different quotes, but I love that line [ 04-12-2005, 06:03 PM: Message edited by: Vaskez ]
