I think ill like the game anyway. Im not worried about some bugs as much as the content.

Theres always some hysteria when a game comes out on forums it doesnt bother me too much.

wizardry 8 shipped with a bug that prevented you from finishing the game... but its one of my favorite games ever...

Well, I'll have to see what it looks like when I can get in the stores. Maybe tomorrow...

*edit* Looks like EB Games has it, but CompUSA doesn't yet. Have to see what the stores offer...

*edit2* Well, EB Games doesn't have it in the store... or on the "coming soon" list (which dates from the beginning of April)... Patience, grasshopper, patience...

I'm going to wait on this a bit too, but i'll be hoping that it improves a little more with the next patch.
worst case scenerio, i'll just wait til i see it in the bargain bin for 10 or 20 dollars.

Went into EB Games, and they did have it. But I balked on it because I'm not confident that it will work on my video adapter... and EBG has a no return policy - as most places understandably do on software. I'm waiting for some confirmation either way from dreamcatcher or heuristic that it will/wont work on my system.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll get a new computer one day... after all, this one's nearly 5 months old! a relic!

I picked it up at lunch today. I'll install it tonight, get the patch, and report back any findings [img]smile.gif[/img]

And FWIW, I'm not sure W&W ever had an official patch, did it? Or is that MM9 I'm thinking of...

i had SO much fun with the demo, but i gotta admit, the bug reports on the official forums, along with other reports... like no character customization, being able to become all classes with no repercussions, questgivers disappearing before you get to them and a world with no one living in it (inns with no one in them except the innkeeper, homes with nothing and no one in them, no one on the streets, etc) are making me rethink my position on getting it.

it makes me sad.

I dunno if I should make the DL forum now.. What do you guys think? Should we atleast give it a try? And if it is dead, just move the posts to Misc gaming?

It's sad, because I think DW Bradley has lost the 'touch'. W&W was buggy--but fun, but this game seems rushed, and simply not polished..

In a day and age when GOOD RPG's are rare, I was/am hoping this was/is good (the tense is depending on a patch).

I can promise you now that all the reviews will tank this game, and sales will be horrid. And because of this, it'll probably he DW's last game project.
