Yep.... my musical range has expanded substantially over the past few years, Yorick. I even listen to country now... actual stories in the songs and such Never would have thought that possible when I was growing up

Is your music available under CCLI? I've toyed a couple of times with seeing the rest of our group's interest in adding a song or two, but hadn't quite moved forward with it yet. That would make it easier, for sure.

Keep practicing machinehead. The world needs more talented air guitar players. It's a rare and misunderstood skill and it's on the verge of dying out. You and the other proud air guitar players must keep this waning art alive.

I'm not in a band but I play guitar (electric and acoustic) and bass, though I prefer to play a pitch-shifted guitar rather than an actual bass... more versatility IMO. I'm also doing a Music Technology course at college (working behind the desk and stuff).

I am a novice at keyboards, bass, drums, and other percussion. I've been a lyricist and rapper since my teenage years. Mostly versed in rock, blues, hip hop, and some jazz.

We should start the IW band...

I've always had an inclination to play (or try to play) the piano. There are about 4 at the church, which we are just giving away.
I figure, if it's right here at home, I'd be more tempted to take it up.
My next-door neighbour is a retired music teacher who plays the organ at his church. He has offered me lessons...

Do it! It's much easier to practice when you have one sitting in your living room. I've been slipping since I moved out- I have a keyboard, but when I was in school I much preferred to go to the practice rooms and use the actual pianos. Now that I don't even have that, I haven't been keeping up with it as much as I know I should be.

But if you have a piano and lessons, you should absolutely do it. There's nothing like walking into a room with a piano... "Oh, no, I don't really... Well, if you insist, let's sing a song!"

It's great at holiday parties
