The PC squeaker? If you can call that in game "music" (which you cant), I would have to go with Monkey Island 1.

Xenon 2 and Lotus 3 had wicked PC Speaker music
Stratos: yeah I love the Hong Kong music in Deus Ex . Also like the Oceanlab music. Hmm this is gonna be more difficult than I thought ....at least SOME games seem to be getting mentioned by more than 1 person. Willow: not a big fan of the HOMM games' music myself. I love HOMM 2, 3 and 4 but I would say the music is merely average or slightly above average; wouldn't rate it as all time best or anything. Would you sit there and listen to it while not playing the game? That is the kind of game music I'm interested in. [ 06-01-2003, 06:29 PM: Message edited by: Vaskez ] |

The entire Guilty Gear series. Rock/classical/great.
UT2k3, despite half of it being innapropriote. Relaxing music doesn't work for deathmatch.

BG 1, when you first get to the Friendly Arm Inn, IWD 2, the music that plays while your in town, IWD, in Kuldahar, and the HOW theme, when you first start the game, BG 2, the TOB opening theme, and it seems to me that both Quake, and Heretic II had decent music all around. IWD won an award for the soundtrack, and I would love to have that, a lot of it was way mellowing.

ONE Chrono Trigger vote? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!
That game had the best Soundtrack of any game of its generation, and it still contends very well with those of today... Remember Frog's tune? Or the AD600 World Map music... perfection... *sighs*

Easy! "The Dig" by Micheal Land (A Lucas Arts game).
Another good one is Ultima Underworld and Mechwarrior 2. or C&C1 (Edit: I also loved the Monkey Island Midi songs ) I have them on file now, as well as all the extracted midi's from Ultima Underworld. Great 'looping' songs. Monkey Island 3 and 4 Music was nice too. But My #1 Fave is THE DIG! [ 06-02-2003, 06:40 AM: Message edited by: Ziroc ]
