A friend of mine, Ben Gordon, is attending Baptist Hospital as a Medical Student, and as a student, of course the doctors that have been there for years shun him and pay him no mind. These doctors are known to be some of the best in the US, as Helicopters bring the seriously ill people in daily from all over the U.S.
Anyway...a certain man had been sick for a long time and nobody could figure out the problem. Six months later, the doctors turned it over to the students, as they were tired of trying. Within a week, my friend diagnosed the man with an African Sleep disease (only four cases of it reported in U.S. history). If my friend would not have diagnosed it in time, another month or two would have killed the patient!
Of course...now Ben is the hero of all the students as the one that showed the pros. how its done!
