Hi all-

I was down in the Crypt (for the hundredth time) and contracted the rotting disease from one o' those rotten Asylum residents.

1) The book says that disease causes you to lose stats. I received a message that my agility decreased, but I checked and it did NOT decrease. Anyone else experience this?

2) Suppose for a moment that the disease does decrease stats. If I lose a point of AGI, then cure the disease at the church, then will my AGI go back to where it was? or is the AGI loss permanent?

I just love this board.
God bless you all.

I've never tried to cure disease at the temple, but if you're cured I suppose that the stats would go back to normal. But it's hard to tell if the change in AGI doesn't show on your character sheets.

Hi Detah!!

Glad you are enjoying this board!

Well, I have to speak from my vast amount of no experience in this particular matter (swell). I do believe that the rotting disease will decrease your stats (even though you have escaped so far). If I recall correctly, when you finally get healed your stats will not go back to what they were BUT since you can gather ankhs to increase stats everything should work out in the end.

Loss of stats IS supposed to be permanent as it was when one of my char's got it, but as Wyvern said, you can regain what you've lost, but it may not be easy. Getting the Ankh you need is up to chance as well as careful planning.

Level 6 Vine spell Cure is the only spell as far as i am aware which will neytralise the rotting green face icon disease. Otherwise, leg it to the town before debilitation occurs.
