1. Crusaders of the Dark Savant (Wizardry 7). It is old, but you can DL at this website and have hours of fun. http://www.abandonia.com/games/247/d...DarkSavant.htm 2. Wizardry 8 (The sequel to Crusaders of the Dark Savant, the story finishes up. It was released in 2002 so you might have to look around bargain bins and online for this game). And do check out the Wizardry 8 forum that Ironworks has if you are interested in more about these games. |

I tried to set BGII to turned based but it was not what I was expecting. I will try the suggestions that have been posted. Thank you for your help.

don't get mad at me...
Temple of Elemental Evil is turnbased. not such a great game, but it's still turnbased. up there with not so good games is Pools of Radiance 2. it's a horror to play, but it's turnbased. i'd actually stick with the Fallout games for really good turnbased, story-driven gameplay. the Wizardry series, along with the Might & Magic series are also fun and turnbased. If you're feeling nostalgic for oldschool turn based AD&D action, there's always the goldbox games. (Original Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, Pools of Darkness and the Dragonlance trilogy)
The journal element always made them feel like an interactive novel for me. I'm actually intending to play Fallout 2 very soon, myself...Only played the first game earlier this year for the first time ever and loved it.
