Er.... just reading some of the other postings and I notice a couple say that Ardibren gave them an evil element. When I checked my inventory after he inconsiderately died at my booted feet, I found Ardibren's Artifact (looks just like a Jindol) which is an equippable item, and not an evil element.

Have I had the misfortune to come across a big bug in my game? Guess I'll just have to start the game again - which is not actually that much of a hardship since most people seem to think that WW has its annoying points but is rather good, on the whole. Scabban did scare me though ....

Cheers,
Arno.

PS Wyv re your Rusty Sword posting. I would like to voice a resounding No! We shouldn't get rid of the rusty swords. We should use them on all those voluble NPCs. Nothing like a bit of tetanus (aka lockjaw) to shut them up He he he

well - there is the outside chance that that evil element might still be lying on the ground where he died (though it really should have been in your inventory unless the person talking to him had no room). Go check. Will keep my wings crossed for you!

When you converse with Ardibren, somewhere in the conversation it says that he gives you the element. This is not the relic which you are describing, which you have actually picked up from a chest in Ardibren's room.
