LOL, now Johnny is going to join the US armed forces. j/k. I really think that it is pathetic the way the terrorists despise and target women. Many of them were brought up in male-only schools, and see their mothers and sisters treated as chattel. It is a sad fact of human nature that often people who mistreat others without reason develop a dislike for these others.

I don't understand why N.O.W. isn't all over the arabs. I mean you would think that they would be like major fighters in that cause.
Or is it only western men that mistreat women and when it is done in the middle east, it is just a quaint cultural difference? I'm confused.

Well, that's all they wanted, to be able to despise and degrade women. Who easier than a prostitute? As for N.O.W., they're all liberal, and lost all attempts at consistency with their backing of Bill Clinton, serial womanizer and seducer of interns. If a Republican had done that, they would have been screaming "sexual harassment." It's like that old lib line about "not publicly criticizing socialist states." Mmmm.... I've heard this before. I think Clinton had more sex appeal than you're giving him credit for. Maybe these women were simply jealous of a wet cigar?

Plus there is a difference betweeny mysogeny and horniness. I think Clinton probably really likes women tons and doesn't see himself as denegrating them - he just... can't... keep his hands off.

From my time in Saudi I learned that most of the wealthy Saudis live fairly decadent lives in the French Riviera (or somewhere equally "la-de-da" [img]smile.gif[/img] ) during the hottest parts of summer. It's really only the common laborers that have to live under the draconian rules of the Islamic State.

Personally, I think the whole thing is about POWER and CONTROL. Look at what the Taliban did once they got into power, they went about establishing absolute control over every aspect of their peoples lives. Since they don't value the individual, this control is HARSHLY enforced.

I firmly belive that these radicals would not stop no matter what we gave them (it would only encourage them imo), negotiations are pointless with someone who will take everything you give and demand more. They want to control YOU, ME and EVERYONE ELSE. Of course they'll find that that won't satisfy them either... but that's another thread. We cannot treat with these people as we would with a rational opponent... as nice as the rule of law is, it cannot help us against this foe, and one sided application of it would be disasterous.

These people must be eradicated, and eventually the political power of the Islamic Religous heirarchy will need to be addressed. (I've said it before and I'll say it again... Seperation of Church and State is one of the most important foundation stones upon which the US is built... and it's one more reason we will always be mortal enemies of the fundamentalist)

As far as I have heard, it has been limited to female nurses (may just be my work environment) Lots of threats to leave the state. Speaking of which, when is the baldwin bro. going to leave the US? Him and the others that threatened to leave if Bush were elected , should really have some motivation now.
