For some reason every time I sleep the game crashes! Any help appriciated.

right after I left the Planer Sphare to give 9000 to Ribald and when I came back for the mage I couldn't rest! please help!

when you ask how to speed up your computer I assume you are reffering to overclocking your proccessor.
If you want to over clock theres usually not some level you can just go raise (unless you have a wicked motherboad) what you are going to want to do is locate the jumpers on your mother board that sets system speed and simply move them to the desired pins.
I highly reccomend against doing this unless you are 100% sure of what you are doing though.

is it just me or is this the buggiest game ever?

Maybe I've been lucky but I've only had 2 bugs the entire game played through twice. I don't think it's buggy at all.
