As some of you may know, around christmas I had to uninstall SOA to change directories. When I was reinstalling it asked for disk 5.
After asking at numerous forums, and doing numerous things it still didnt work. I have been told it is a problem with the initial installation.

Yesterday, I tried installing it on one of our laptops. It asked for disk 5. This laptop has not had anything like the BG series on it before, we can be sure as it was formatted completely as soon as mum bought it. We also tried copying everything from the CDs over, it couldnt copy "data2.cat" on disk 1.

From that, would it be a reasonable assumption that the CD is scratched ??

But there is a bit of comedy with this tragedy, luckily enough... when Windows asked for the next disk each time it said

"Please insert disk (disk number) or specify the location where it is located"

That realy cracked me up

Nope. This is a known problem. It is the game, not my computer
If I could only install it, then the official patch stops it from happening again...
