Heh I think the guy is funny as heck, but he can be a bit of di^#.
I liked the movie, aside from the horrid dialoged between Vader and Portman.

Review of the reviews:
In most ways those reviews were right on the mark, but they read like they were written by a pair of 14 year old boys with touretts. Sounds like they need to spend more time fondleing their highschool footballs/remembering past glories and less time worrying about the fact that they make less than half as much as most of the nerds they were watching those movies with. The problem with prequels and sequels is that people tends to compared the movies to the "originals". I hate to admit it, especially being a long time SW fan, but apart from the extreme amount of CGIs, the SW prequels didn't live up to the expectations of the old series (from my POV of course).
This is probably because the older generations that used to watch this movies when they were young has grown up while George Lucas's skill of writing scripts isn't. IMHO, he should have invest a little more to hire good script writers. [ 06-06-2005, 08:46 AM: Message edited by: Paladin2000 ]

Don't people realise that when they ask him to do anything, he'll do the opposite? :S

Wow. My complete and utter disinterest in anything Star Wars related is so big that I can't even bother to read all of the negative reviews. The Maddox-one made me chuckle, though.

Maddox was funny, but I'm still gonna punch him if I ever meet him. He's on my "must punch in the nose" list.
I've been rewatching the old ones, and the acting is a bit better in them. Most importantly, there is chemistry and a sense of comraderie. When Han flirts with Leia, you believe it -- not so with Hayden and Natalie. |
