Such as....?
Anyway, here in Greece, we don't celebrate Halloween. We have a similar celebration in February, when we get dressed up different sorts of things but 31st October is a normal day.

Halloween is a fun time in the US. Many people wander around at night with scary costumes. They say "Trick or Treat!"

In agreement with mitsos here, I think that outside the US hardly anyone celebrates it. But having made that statement, I expect to be proven wrong every minute now...

In sweden, we started celebrating it like last year...
Only as a commercial holiday, of course.
But since I'm too old to go around trick or treating, and don't have kids myself..I think it's kinda of a unessecary holiday, in sweden that is.

Actually Groj, I'm seeing more and more people buying those 'cute little pumpkins' and displaying them around the house... (voornamelijk huisvrouwen die niets beters kunnen bedenken ) but here in North-Holland we already had a traditional day for trick-or-treating. It's been in use for ages, and I like it much better that Halloween. It's celebrated on the 11th of the 11th, and I would love to see it introduced in more parts of the country!

The 11th of the 11th... Do you mean St. Maarten?

True. Although it's becoming more common place in Amsterdam with the 7,000 British and 5,000 US that are living here.

The only problem with celebrating it on 11th November is that it's Rememberance Day (War-dead) in the UK and one or two other European countries.
Kind of a clashing mood...

Have to admit, I'm not fond of spooks after all of the level drains I've had in the past. I'd much rather celebrate a 'Clerics' evening instead!
